Restaurant and Bar Restaurant Nepal’s Pokhara Chapter (REWAN) has organised a five-day-long Pokhara Street Festival. The street fest commenced Monday, December 28 at Lakeside, Pokhara’s iconic tourism spot. The fest is organised to mark the New Year 2016.The first day of the festival saw various cultural performances. The festival brought different dance forms together on a single platform. The highlight of the show, however, was a Balan Dance performed by a cultural group from Rampur, Palpa. The dance was performed by 60 performers.The fest also saw a dance group from China showcase some of their traditional dances. The festival will see musicians perform live music in the coming days. Performing during the fest will be artist Robin N the New Revolution, Sabin Rai, Bipul Chettri, Anuprastha, and Monkey Temple, Pashupati Sharma, Badri Pangeni, Prajapati Parajuli, and Puroshottam Neupane, among others.
